With an engineering background, I have always been fascinated by the superb sculptural forms created by completely utilitarian objects such as engineering castings and assemblies, the supreme example being Concorde.
I was examining the complex curvature of ships' propellors,
comparing them to the wake they generate, and natural waves,
and decided to combine them.
Suitable for indoors or outdoors.
